Application/breakdown: Hard Muk scoops out really tough, especially in winter. Applying it in hair you will be met with a ton of grip and tug sometimes making it difficult to get the product all the way down to the roots. I like to part the hair where it is lacking, and apply more emulsified product at the part to ensure my hair is fully covered.
Finish: Hard Muk features a natural matte finish and I love it the look, not too matte yet no shine.
Hold: Hard Muk has a great hold, remaining lightweight yet still maintaining its shape. Its hold and look is similar to purple Gatsby, although purple Gatsby is far easier to apply.
Scent: The official scent is citrus orange, doesn’t smell like orange to me but it is one of the better scents.
Washability: Hard Muk washes out so easy with only water.
Ingredients: Aqua , Petrolatum , Kaolin , Cera Alba (Beeswax) , PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate , Oleth-5 , Cera Carnauba (Copernicia Cerifera Wax , Minerla Oil (Paraffinum Liquidim) , Perfume , Sodium Acetate , CI 42090 , CI 19140 , CI 17200 , Citronellol , Hexyl Cinnamal , Limonene , Linalool , Citral.
Overall: I really like Hard Muk. I’ve yet to try another product from Muk but this one has already impressed me. I’ll be looking purchse the purple Muk to try out. The only downside to me is its difficulty in application.
