Mojo Defining Paste

Being more of a premium budget purchase I expect this one to perform better than your average drugstore brands (Moosehead, Taft, Headgear, etc…) and it certainly does.

Application/breakdown: Little to no effort to scoop this one out of its plastic jar. Emulsifying it, it breaks down easily and turns into a layer of white in your hands. It’s grippy and dry upon contact with hair.

Finish: Due to its dryness, this one finishes Matte but may leave thin hair looking a little dishevelled. This is due to the flyaways the product can and will cause.

Hold: Fantastic hold because it is so lightweight. But because of this, flyaways are normally present when I style with it, with little slickness.

Scent: I think its an all seasons appropriate scent, even for the workplace. Its very subtle once in your hair.
Top: Grapefruit, Coriander and Basil.
Heart: Cardamom, Ginger and Orange Blossom.
Base: Cedar wood, Ambergris and Tobacco.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), VP/VA Copolymer, Lanolin Alcohol, C18-36 Acid Triglyceride, Petrolatum, Propylene Glycol, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Paraffin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Ceteth-10 Phosphate, Dicetyl Phosphate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Limonene, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, BHT, Coumarin, Linalool, CI 42090 (Blue 1).

Overall: Not a bad product. I would use it for laid-back occasions or at the gym, because I prefer slick hairstyles when I’m out. With that being said, I would not be looking to repurchase this.
